As a condition of approval, the applicants shall address all <br />identified issues to the satisfaction of the City Engineer <br /> <br />Public Safety <br />Review: <br /> As already noted in this report, Public Safety’s main request for this application is <br />that a fire protection engineer be hired by the applicant to ensure the business can be <br />accommodated by the building’s existing sprinkler system. <br /> As the department that responds to chemical spills, they are also interested in seeing <br />an oil-separator installed in the one catch basin nearest the proposed fueling tank. <br /> <br />Public <br />Comment: <br /> No comments have been received for or against this proposal as of 7/13/23. <br /> <br />Planning <br />Commission <br />Review: <br /> The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on this request at their meeting <br />on 7/18/23. <br /> <br /> <br />Conclusion: <br /> The application is requesting a Special Use Permit to authorize a recycled paper <br />sorting & distribution operation within the former H Brooks building at 600 <br />Lakeview Point Drive <br />Staff Recommendation: Per the analysis outlined in the report, staff is <br />recommending APPROVAL of the request with conditions. <br /> <br />Commission <br />Options: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Planning Commission has the following options: <br />A) RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE REQUEST based on the <br />applicant’s submittals and findings of fact. <br />B) RECOMMEND DENIAL OF THE REQUEST based on the applicant’s <br />submittals and findings of fact. <br />C) TABLE THE ITEM and request additional information.
