However, <br />there are exceptions to this rule which are outlined in the Employee Handbook Section 29 “Vehicle/City <br />Equipment Usage.” <br /> <br />DISPOSAL <br />Assets are removed from use through sale, trade, obsolescence, scrap, theft, and donation. The approval <br />of the City Manager shall be required to dispose, sell, donate, or trade any capital asset of the Cityvalued <br />up to $20,000. The City Manager canmay delegate this authority to Ddepartment hHeads.. Disposal of <br />assets with a current value of at leastgreater than $20510,000 will also require the approval of the City <br />Council. The following steps shall apply once approval has been granted to dispose of the asset:
