For all uses where automobile parking spaces are provided 372 <br />except single- and two-family residences, parking facilities for bicycles and scooters must be 373 <br />provided and shall be regulated by the following provisions: 374 <br />A. The number bicycle and scooter spaces to be provided shall be based upon the 375 <br />following chart: 376 <br /> 377 <br />LAND USE NUMBER OF SPACES <br />A. Residential 1.0 per Two (2) Dwelling <br />Units <br />B. Non-residential Minimum of 1.0; and 1.0 per <br />20 vehicle parking spaces <br /> 378 <br />B. A bicycle or scooter space is equal to one-half (.5) bicycle rack. When calculating 379 <br />the number of spaces, the total number is rounded up to the nearest whole number. Long-380 <br />term bicycle storage indoors may count towards no more than 80% of the required bicycle 381 <br />and scooter spaces. 382 <br />C. An acceptable bicycle rack is an inverted U shape made of bent metal with two 383 <br />points of contact with the ground. The rack must have a concrete footing or foundation, or 384 <br />similar method of installation affixing it to the ground. Long-term bicycle storage 385 <br />provided indoors is not restricted to a U-shaped rack. 386 <br />D. The area around bicycle or scooter spaces must have three (3) feet of clearance 387 <br />measured from the furthest extent of the bicycle rack. This clearance may not conflict with 388 <br />pedestrian pathways or circulation. The area within this clearance and underneath the 389 <br />bicycle rack must be paved. 390 <br />E. Parking for bicycles and scooters must be luminated at night with a dedicated 391 <br />lighting fixture and be located within 100 feet of the main public building entrance on the 392 <br />same property. 393
