Appreciates the opportunity to assist you and your well pump needs. I requested we are providing a bid
to perform your Preventative Maintenance Inspection to this installation. You recently informed us that this well is running
much hotter than other wells in your community, but during the 2006 inspection we were asked to add a stage to the Peerless
pump to generate more head from this well there were plenty of Plant graphs and multiple wells running to attempt to get to
targeted flow rates from certain wells and. The modifications were requested by Mr. Les Proper and although adding a stage
increased the pump and operating HP we never did anything with the motor because that was already over‐sized. Where my
thought are heading is that all your wells that are similar to this were also oversized, for many reasons but one may have been
the length of power leads between the control; room and the well houses. The physical size of the wires makes a huge
difference, and the voltage drop over these long runs can increase the heat that the motors put off. In addition well #6 has a
Yaskawa VHS motor. They are no longer manufactured and I am not sure if they carry the same service factor as a US motors
model like many of your other installations. I said we can get together next week and take a look at the facility and heat
generated. Below is the current pricing for maintenance inspection and services to well #6, and I provided the current new
motor price for a premium efficient inverter rated US Motors model DN11.

PROJECT COST:
1) Furnish Labor & Equipment necessary Remove, Inspect, & Reinstall pump unit #6 $11,500.00
2) Deliver & pickup from motor shop, (Replacement with US 150 Hp model DN11 $21,370.00)
3) Performance testing on pump installation & provide results to city $ 750.00
4) Measure the well depth (521’original & 505’ in 2015) $ 100.00
5) Perform video inspection provide DVD, flash drive, and hard copy report to city $ 2,500.00
6) Disinfect well casing with 200 ppm solution of chlorine as performed per city $ 2,000.00
7) Disassemble the pump bowl assembly $ 650.00
8) Rebuild Peerless 12‐LD‐6 stage bowl assembly
Replace bowl shaft, bearings, and wear rings $ 5,650.00
9) Provide(2)each 1”x 310’ PVC tubes for level monitoring @ $3.50/ft $ 2,170.00
Additional materials recommended for replacement
10"x 10' T & C drop pipe (16 each) @ $1,375.00 $22,000.00
10”x 10’ tail pipe @ $1,100.00/ea $ 1,100.00
10”x 5’ T & C drop pipe (1 each) @ $980.00/ea $ 980.00
31 each 1.5”x 2.5” rubber line shaft bearings @ $35.00/each $ 1,085.00
Replace Base/Head shaft 1.68”x 65.5” $ 950.00
Recondition Discharge head bearing and packing $ 550.00
Replace 10” Lakewood Bleed‐back flow control valve $ 2,200.00
Replace 1 each 1.68”SS Line shaft sleeve @ $160.00/each (labor included) $ .00
TOTAL PROJECT ESTIMATED AMOUNT $54,185.00
**Note** There is no motor costs included in the amount above
Well Information:
SWL 204’ Well Casing Depth 446’ Current Well Depth ’ Original Depth 505’
Well Pump Information:
Pump setting 310’ Column 10”x 1‐11/16” Pump Peerless 12 LD‐ 6 stage: 900 Gpm @ 466’ TDH

If you have any questions, or require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact us and schedule the pump
inspection at (612) 479‐3121, or cell (612) 369‐3652.
Sincerely;
BERGERSON CASWELL INC.
