o Construction Plans and Profiles
o Trail and Sidewalk Plan & Profiles
o Retaining Wall Plan & Profiles
o Retaining Wall Details
o Cross Sections
· Provide the City, County, and State Aid plans at the 90% completion for review and
comments. Comments received will be addressed and incorporated into the 100% plans.
· Tabulate quantities and provide and engineers estimate at 90% and 100% plans.
· Coordinate with State Aid to acquire a new State Aid project number.
· Prepare a complete project manual and bidding specifications.
· Assist the City during bidding by answering questions received from contractors and provide
a plan addendum if necessary. We have assumed that the City would be responsible for
leading the bidding process and handle all other bidding responsibilities.
· Assist the City during construction by attending up to three (3) construction meetings if
assistance is requested. We have assumed that up to two (2) representatives from Kimley
Horn would attend each meeting.
Task 9 – Signal Plans and Specifications
No additional services.
Task 10 – Perform Traffic Analysis at Old Highway 8 and County Road D
No additional services.
Task 11 – Right of Way Acquisitions
No additional services.
Task 12 – Construction Phase Services
Canadian Pacific Railroad is no longer supportive of modular block retaining walls adjacent to the
bridge piers for the sidewalk crossing at the railroad. Instead, Canadian Pacific Railroad is
requesting that a CIP retaining wall be constructed for a minimum of 10’ adjacent to the bridge piers
(retaining wall 1 and retaining wall 3). Canadian Pacific Railroad is also requesting reconstruction of
the existing retaining walls and sidewalk on the west side of the roadway. The requests include a
minimum of 10’ of CIP walls adjacent to the bridge pier (inside edge of existing sidewalk) and
construction of a CIP wall adjacent to the bridge abutment (outside edge of existing sidewalk). City
staff have requested that Kimley-Horn modify the retaining wall design and construction plans per
the railroads request. Anticipated support services include:
· CIP retaining wall design, calculations, and rebar layouts for new/modified walls.
· Changing ten feet of retaining wall 1 adjacent to the existing bridge pier from a modular
block wall to a CIP wall.
· Changing ten feet of retaining wall 3 adjacent to the existing bridge pier from a modular
block wall to a CIP wall.
