The amount of parking required for the Rice Creek Shopping Center, the <br />proposed church and school, and the commercial building adjacent to the <br />north (2555 Mississippi Street NW) totals 478 stalls. <br />8. The number of parking stalls located on the above two subject sites totals <br />512 stalls. <br />9. In 1985, the City Council approved the Brightondale Senior Housing facility <br />located adjacent to the southwest of the Rice Creek Shopping Center. A <br />condition of that approval required the shopping center and Brightondale <br />enter into a nonexclusive parking easement for the parking area on the <br />southwest corner of the shopping center site to assure the City ample off- <br />street parking would continue to be available for the Brightondale <br />development in the future. This subject parking area consists of 34 stalls <br />which have already been credited toward the total required parking for <br />Brightondale. Therefore, they cannot now be credited toward the total <br />amount of parking provided for applicant. <br />10. The proposed parking arrangement and does comply with the City's Parking <br />Ordinance providing the amount of commercial, retail and business service <br />square footage at Rice Creek Shopping Center does not exceed 24,000 <br />square feet. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the application SP-172B is hereby approved, <br />subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br />1. Approval of SP-172A. <br />2.
