Ordinance to Amend Chapter 7 of the New Brighton Zoning Code <br />regarding Planned Developments. Report No. 06-063. <br /> <br />Janice Gundlach, City Plarmer gave an overview of the item, stating that the <br />Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval of the amendments. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to adopt <br />the attached resolution approving ordinance amendments to Section 7-220 (1) and <br />Section 7-230 (8) of the Zoning Ordinance, which allows the residential component of <br />the Northwest Quadrant on the west side of Old Highway 8 to proceed through the <br />pun process <br /> <br />4 Ayes, 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5. Consideration of Site Plan, PreliminaIy Plat, and Preliminary Plarmed <br />Unit Development by David Bernard Builders-Developers and Sherman <br />Associates for 700 unit housing development on west side of Old <br />Highway 8 in the Northwest Quadrant. Report No. 06-064. <br />Resolution No. 06-027. <br /> <br />City Planner, Janice Gundlach gave an overview, outliningthe process associated <br />with the PUD application. <br />It was stated that it would be beneficial to initiate the rezoning after boundaries are <br />more defined. <br /> <br />The following language will be added to the resolution as item #27: <br />In conjunction with the Final PUD approval for Tract 1, the developers shall execute <br />a written agreement with the City describing the specific operations, maintenance <br />and capital replacement obligations of each party with regard to the public spaces, <br />green spaces, trails, boulevards, sidewalks, landscaping, streetscapes, ponds and <br />public amenities constructed within the area shown in the preliminaIy plat. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg offered her appreciation for all the effort put into this <br />.rocess. <br /> <br />~ouncil Member Hoffman and Mayor Larson agreed. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Burg to adopt <br />the attached resolution which establishes the conditions under which a final pun <br />application can be submitted and reviewed; with the addition of condition #27 as <br />follows: <br /> <br />4.
