<br />Page 3 - March 15, 2006 New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Member Doffmg questioned how the fund has been penonning. <br /> <br />Mark Herrick, president of the Fire Relief Association replied it was at about <br />12%. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman seconded by Council Member Burg to waive <br />the reading and adopt the attached resolution authorizing amendments to the funding <br />levels for the Firefighter's Relief Association to a level of $4,800.00 per year of service <br />starting in 2006. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />2. Authorization for Bids on Phase 1 Site Grading in the Northwest <br />Quadrant. Report No. 06-073. <br /> <br />Grant Fernelius, Director of Community Development outlined the area where the <br />phase 1 grading would take place. Additionally Mr. Fernelius outlined the process. <br /> <br />louncil Member Doffing questioned whether there would be any contamination <br />sues associated with this site. <br /> <br />Mr. Fernelius responded that there is no contamination anticipated in this first <br />phase. <br /> <br />Council Member Bauman questioned whether building would occur up to Tract 2, <br />or if there would be space left between Tract 1 and Tract 2. <br /> <br />Mr. Fernelius responded that construction would occur up to the line. <br /> <br />Council Member Bauman questioned the order of buildings to be constructed. <br /> <br />Mr. Fernelius stated that perhaps Sherman and Associated will not be constructing <br />the Senior Housing until their presale requirements are met. . <br /> <br />Assistant Director of Community Development, David Black offered some <br />clarification, stating that streets and utilities would need to be constructed before <br />any building could occur. <br /> <br />louncil Member Bauman expressed concern pertaining to someone purchasing a <br />orne knowing that extensive building is occuning at a very close proximity. <br /> <br />Council Member Bauman questioned the time line for Tract 2. <br /> <br />2.
