II.).. <br /> <br />~. ,I. <br /> <br />AGREEMENT FOR INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE <br />OF EMERGENCY VEHICLE PRE-EMPTION <br />AGREEMENT NO. 88017 <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the City of New Brighton, Minnesota, a <br />municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as the "City," and Ramsey County, a <br />political subdivision of the State of Minnesota, hereinafter referred to as the "County"; <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is con.''3idered mutually desirable to install an emergency vehicle <br />pre-emption system, hereinafter referred to as "EVP System," at certain signalized <br />intersections in the City of New Brighton as hereinafter set forth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the EVP System is for the sole use and benefit of the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County and City will participate in the cost, maintenance and <br />operation of said EVP Systems as hereinafter set forth; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City shall prepare the necessary plan'), specifications and proposals <br />and shall perform the engineering required to complete the items of work hereinafter <br />set forth. <br /> <br />2. The County shall approve said plans and specifications prepared by the <br />City prior to advertising for bids and the County shall perform,.inspection required to <br />complete the items of work hereinafter set forth. <br /> <br />3. The City shall in')tall or cause the installation of an EVP System at the <br />following inplace signalized intersections at its own expense: <br /> <br />A. <br />B. <br />C. <br />D. <br />E. <br />F. <br />G. <br />H. <br />I. <br />J. <br /> <br />Old Highway & (CSAH 77) at 10th Street N.W. (CSAH 12) <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at Silver Lane (CR 100, East Leg) <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at County Road E (CSAH 15) <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at 5th Street N.W. <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at 7th Street N.W. (CR 96, East Leg) <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at 1-694 South Ramp <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at 1-694 North Ramp <br />Silver Lake Road (CSAH 44) at Palmer Drive <br />County Road D (CSAH 19) at Old Highway 8 (CSAH 77, 'North Leg) <br />County Road D (CSAH 19) at T.H. 88. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />4. The County shall furnish to the City materials and labor as shown in <br />Exhibt "A" attached hereto and made a part of this agreement. Estimated cost of <br />County furnished materials and labor is $59,071.19. <br /> <br />5. The City has or will install vehicle emitter units on City emergency <br />vehicles to pre-empt the EVP System; the emitters shall be at the sole expense of the <br />City. . <br /> <br />88017 <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
