<br />Page 3 - June 28, 2005 New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />The City Planner indicated that while the parking is a relevant concern that should <br />Ie addressed by the Public Safety Department and that the issue at hand is <br />eather this meets the minimum lot size requirements, which it does. <br /> <br />'ouncil Member Hoffman stated that there appeared to be nothing in the proposal <br />inconsistent with the current properties in that neighborhood. <br /> <br />Cheryl Posz, 554 4th Ave NW, echoed MR. Winiecki's concerns, adding that parking <br />is of greater problem during the winter months. <br /> <br />Lori Kortus; 447 6th St NW, pointed out that there would be ten houses on the <br />block, When most have seven. <br /> <br />Jim Roettger; 664 10th St NW, stated, that while he doesn't live in the immediate <br />area, he travels through that area, and during rush hour, the area gets very <br />congested. <br /> <br />Conncil Member Doffing indicated she favored a two lot split as opposed to a three <br />lot split, for the same reasons expressed by the neighborhood representatives. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg suggested referring the traffic / parking issues over to the <br />Public Safety Dept, and possibly routing the alley traffic one way. <br /> <br />_at Siwek; the applicant, stated that as the property is currently, there is ample <br />.m for parking. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson questioned the intent of Ms Siwek, pertaining to the sale of the <br />parcels, <br /> <br />Ms. Siwek explained that she is unsure as to how the parcels will sell, and that she <br />would prefer to split the lots so they can sell each lot, because some potential <br />buyers were not interested in the garage. Also stated; was that it was the intent of <br />the applicant to sell the parcels as single family owner occupied homes. <br /> <br />Conncll Member Moore-Sykes pointed out that the issues at hand are law <br />enforcement issues, not planning and zoning issues. <br /> <br />The City Planner conquered that the proposal does meet all requirements, and that <br />he recommends approval with conditions. <br /> <br />The Mayor gave an opportunity for anyone to speak; Cheryl Posz stated that <br />although the proposal may be legal, she didn't feel that made it right. Council <br />Member Moore-Sykes confinned that the applicant has the legal right to do <br />Ihatever legal to her property. <br /> <br />ayor Larson again gave opportunities for public comments, <br />there were no others. <br />
