<br />Page 3 - May 24 2005, New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />The City Planner explained that the setbacks in question are separate from the Zoning <br />lode and are included within Chapter 16 of the City's code relating specifically to Mobile <br />omes. <br /> <br />The proposed changes relate to the proximity of each residential unit to each other and to <br />the one-way private streets. The proposed changes are really reflective of the increased size <br />of manufactured homes since the time of the intitial code provisions. The Building <br />Official and Fire Marshall agree that the proposed setback modifications would be <br />acceptable and satisfy appropriate building, access, and safety concerns. <br />The City Planner explained that any changes to the Ordinance would affect Lakeside <br />Homes; as well as any future Mobile Home Development in the City. <br /> <br />Council Member Burg inquired as to the Planning Commissions actions on this item. <br />The City Planner indicated that the Planning Commission discussed this item, although did <br />not need to act on it, and passed it onto the City Council. <br /> <br />Council Member Moore-Sykes requested reassurance that Emergency Vehicles would <br />have access. The City Planner confirmed that Public Safety Staff was confident in the <br />access. <br /> <br />Lakeside Homes owner Bev Apilkowski gave a brief history of the park, and shared that <br />they were undertaking a significant reinvestment into the park's infrastructure.. Ms <br />f. pilkowski expressed her gratitude to City staff for their help in working through this <br />atter. <br /> <br />Council Member Moore-Sykes inquired as to weather the lots are plotted, Ms Apilkowski <br />stated that the lots are internally divided, but that the park overall is a single parcel for tax <br />purposes. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman seconded by Council Member Moore-Sykes <br />to close the Public Hearing <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Moore~Sykes, to move staff recommendation and motion <br />to approve the attached ordinance and direct The City Planner to publish text <br />changes in the New Brighton Bulletin, after they have had sufficient review by the <br />City Attorney, seconded by Council Member Burg. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Business <br />11. Consideration of acceptance of the City's Comprehensive Annual Financial <br />Report and Management Reports for the Fiscal Year Ending December 31, <br />2004. Report 05-116 <br /> <br />Dan Maiers, Director of Finance presented the fmdings of the most recent audit. <br />Dan also stated that we earned a higher credit rating score; which will provide long <br />term benefits. <br /> <br />Council Business <br />1.
