Consideration of amendment to contract for private development between the City and <br />I Beisswenger's New Brighton Hardware, Inc. Report No.05-084 <br /> <br />BSistant Connnunity Development Director David Black presented the amended contract for private <br />velopment between the City and Beisswenger's New Brighton Hardware, Inc. <br />Mr. Biesswenger was enthusiastic about starting construction this summer at the intersection of Old <br />Highway 8 and Cmmty 96. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Moore-Sykes, to <br />waive the reading and approve the attached resolution authorizing the anlendment to the <br />Contract for Private Redevelopment with Beisswenger's New Brighton Hardware, Inc. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Liaison Reports. Announcements. and Updates <br /> <br />1. Municipal Advisory Commission Reports: <br /> <br />Council Member Mary Burg - Planning Commission - <br />_ouncil Member Burg attended The League of Minnesota Cities Legislative session <br />onference, along with Council Member Moore-Sykes and Assistant City Manager, Jeanna <br />'roha. <br /> <br />Council Member Ann Hoffman - Parks, Recreation, and Environmental <br />Conmlission ~ <br />Council Member Hoffman relayed that the Parks, Recreation and Environmental <br />Commission met and discussed the Parks and Trail improvements as well as the Long <br />Lake Improvement Associations concerns. <br /> <br />Council Member Sharon Doffing - Economic Development Commission- <br />Council Member Doffing reported that the focus of the last Environmental Development <br />Conmlission was on framework for the Northwest Quadrant. In addition Council Member <br />DoffIng provided some details relating to the TAXI 2000 tour. <br /> <br />Council Member Kinl Moore-Sykes - Public Safety Commission- <br />Council Member Moore-Sykes reported that the Public Safety Commission discussed <br />Project Lifesaver. This is a program that would equip fanlilymembers with a bracelet, <br />(laking the task of fmding those individuals prone to wonder, easier. <br /> <br /> <br />!4.diournment <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Doffing, to adjourn <br />the meeting. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Liaison <br />Reports.
