Public Hearing to Consider Amending the City Code Section 26-2. <br />Report 05-043. Ordinance No. 725. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson opened the Public Hearing <br /> <br />The City Planner gave an overview amending Section 26-2 of the City's Code of <br />Ordinances as follows: <br /> <br />The provisions of this Chapter are in addition to and not in replacement of the <br />provisions of the existing Building Code and Zoning Code. Any provisions of the <br />Building Code and Zoning Code relating to platting shall remain in full force and effect <br />except as they may be contradictory to the provisions of this Chapter. No subdivision <br />will be approved that causes an existino use or structure to become nonconformina, <br />I and no subdivision of a parcel with existina nonconformina uses or structures will be <br />approved, unless nonconformities are removed or oermitted bv variance or <br />nonconformino use permit. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson gave an opportunity for any comments from audience. <br />There were no comments. <br /> <br />Motion by Council Member Hoffman, seconded by Council Member Doffing, to give <br />Staff Recommendation to waive the reading and adopt the attached ordinance <br />amendment, amending Section 26-2 of the City's Zoning Code and direct staff to publish <br />the text in The New Brighton Bulletin. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />2. Public Hearing to Consider Amending the City Code Section 4-490. <br />Report 05-044. Ordinance No. 726. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson opened the Public Hearing <br /> <br />The City Planner gave an overview amending Section 4-490 of the City's Code of <br />Ordinances as follows: <br /> <br />laragraPh 5(a): <br />etached garages shall be prohibited. Underground or attached parking shall be required at a <br />tio of one space per dwelling unit. Such parkina shall be in fully enclosed buildinos of a buildina <br />type. material and color that is compatible with the principle structure.
