<br />Page 4 - May 28, 2002, New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />For commercial properties within the Phase 1 area, a proposed interim ordinance would allow one <br />temporary sign from the day after publication ofthe ordinance until the completion of Phase I. <br />I For commer.cial pr.operties within the Phas. e 11 area, the interim ordinance would allow one <br />temporary sign from July 15,2002 until completion of Phase II. <br /> <br />Jim Witkowski, New BrightonfMounds View Chamber of Commerce, thanked the City and its <br />staff for all their support to the Chamber over these many years. He requested that businesses be <br />allowed to exhibit the temporary signage, and such temporary signage would not be counted as <br />part of their two temporary signs permitted annually. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND ORDER THE <br />PUBLICATION OF AN INTERMIN ORDINANCE RELATING TO TEMPORARY <br />SIGNS ALONG A CERTAIN SECTION OF SILVER LAKE ROAD; AND THAT THESE <br />TEMPORARY SIGNS ARE NOT COUNTED AGAINST ANNUALLY PERMITTED <br />TEMPORARY SIGN REQUIREMENTS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Consideration of an application for site plan review and special use permit to add 130 feet onto an <br />existing 140 foot fence near the 8th fairway of Brightwood Hills Golf Course. The purpose is to <br />further protect homes on the south side of Green view Drive. Fences for special purposes may be <br />permitted in any district by the issuance of a special use permit. The Planning Commission held a <br />public hearing and approved the request. Moore-Sykes noted that homeowners on Greenview <br />Drive attended the hearing and were in support of this project. <br /> <br />IMOtiOn by Samuelson, seconded by Moore-Sykes, to WAIVE THE READING AN.D ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION APPROVING LP02-005 AND SP02-002, SUBJECT TO THE <br />FOLLOWING CONDITION: <br />1.
