<br />Page 4 - March 12, 2002, New Brighton Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Moore-Sykes, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />I THE RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE PREPAYMENT AND REDEMPTION OF <br />CERTAIN OUTSTANDING GENERAL OBLIGATIONS BONDS OF THE CITY OF NEW <br />BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Kevin Locke presented the contract for exclusive negotiations <br />and consulting agreement with Ryan Companies. Since 2000, the City has worked with Ryan and <br />its planning partners on detailed plans for the redevelopment ofthe Northwest Quadrant Despite <br />the significant process on this large and complex redevelopment projects, the City and Ryan has <br />not been operating under a formal agreement. The agreement's intent is to complete detail <br />development plans and prepare on or more specific contracts for redevelopment projects. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AGREEMENT WITH RY AN COMPANIES US, INC. <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Proper presented the feasibility study for a pond maintenance project for Bicentennial Pond. The <br />adjacent residents have requested the City hire a pond maintenance company to treat the pond for <br />weeds and create a storm sewer improvement taxing district ofthe 14 lots abutting the pond to pay <br />I for the costs.
