<br />We the undersigned registered voters of the City of New Brighton are opposed
<br />to a hotel or motel on the Brighton Village site.
<br />The Brighton Village site lies 1 1/2 blocks from the Pike Lake Elementary School
<br />grounds and Freedom Park to the north and 1 1/2 blocks from Highview Middle School
<br />grounds on the south. A hotel or motel intending to draw clientele from it's visibility and
<br />proximity to Interstate 694, we believe, woul~ornp.~~~b_~.~.?,fety of the ~D~..s "

<br />We expect the Mayor, the City Council, the Economic Development Committee '"S
<br />and the City Planning Committee to exercise due diligence in evaluating any proposal
<br />for development on this site, including thorough study and consideration of the
<br />community, infrastructure and environmental impact.
