The residents approved a request for a $6,000 tax levy for 2002 to
increase the thnd reserve to $9,569.99. The amount is needed for installation of a new
dedicated electric service, replacement of the compressor hoses and diffusers and other
miscellaneous expenses and electric power. In accordance with the policy, the City would
pick up 25% of the $6,000 or $1,500 from a general tax levy. The remaining 75% or
$4,500 would be levied against the special lake restoration taxing district which consists of
24 lots on Lake Diane.

Dave Hol, 2738 17th Ter., explained that the current aeration system has been running
continuously for 12 years and needs to be replaced.

Motion by Sweeley, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVAL A GENERAL TAX LEVY
IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,500 AND A SPECIAL TAX LEVY AGAINST THE LAKE
DIANE SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,500 FOR 2002.

5 Ayes ~ 0 Nays, Motion Carried.

City Sanitarian David Fridgen presented the Score Funding Grant application and
Recycling Service Charge for 2002.
