Locke said the Federal and State governments are <br />responsible for the remediation being that this is a Superfund site. The City's agreement <br />with the Environmental Protection Agency protects the City from any liability associated <br />with site cleanup. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND <br />AUTHORIZING ITS EXECUTION FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWO CANADIAN <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Moore-Sykes thanked the 3'd Grade class at Bel Air School for inviting her to discuss the <br />election process. Also, Gunderman and Larson participated in a mock election at the <br />school. <br /> <br />Council expressed their condolences to the Mike Livingston family.
