<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Minutes - October 10,2000 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />City Engineer Les Proper presented the proposed special assessments for Project 99~ 1, <br />Highcrest Area Street Reconstruction, and Project 99-31, Hansen Park Alley <br />Reconstruction. <br /> <br />Project 99-1 consisted ofthe reconstruction of following streets: 13th Ave. SW (between <br />Co. Rd. E-2nd St. SW), 14th Ave. SW (between Co. Rd. E and 2nd St. SW), 15th Ave. SW <br />(between Co. Rd. E and ]'t St. SW), 161h Ave. SW (between Co. Rd. E and Silver Ln.), l]1h <br />Ave. SW (between Co. Rd. E and cul-de-sac), 1st St. SW (between cul-de-sac and 14th <br />Ave. SW, 2nd St. SW (between 16th AVe. SWand 13th Ave.), Silver Ln. (Silver Lk. Rd. to <br />161h Ave. sidewalk), and Foss Rd. (City limits to Old Hwy 8 SW). The projcct involved <br />street reconstruction, sidewalk construction, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, and water <br />system improvements. <br /> <br />The project would be paid through a combination of City wide tax, special assessments, <br />Municipal State Aid (MSA), water utility fund, sanitary sewer fund, and storm water <br />utility fund. Total project cost is $1,388,220.13 and is divided as follows: $687,579.68 <br />(City Cost), $193,295.76 (special assessment), and $507,344.69 (MSA funds). The <br />211.21 lots in this project will be special assessed on a per lot basis of $9.15.18/10t. <br /> <br />The assessment will be spread ovcr a 10-year period at an interest rate of 6.5%.
