<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />June 13,2000 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Motion by Hoffman, seconded by Samuelson, to AUTHORIZE STAFF TO <br />CONTRACT WITH MCCARTHY WELL TO REPAIR THE PUMP AT <br />BRIGHTWOOD HILLS AT A COST OF $19,835.00 AND AUTHORIZE <br />PAYMENT TO MCCARTHY WELL OF $9,000.00 FOR PROVIDING <br />TEMPORARY WATER TO THE GOLF COURSE IRRIGATION SYSTEM. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Locke presented an amendment to the redevelopment contract with NHHI. In 1994, the <br />City entered into a contract to assist with the development of Thorndale Handicapped <br />Housing Apartments. The contract included a tax deficiency guarantee requiring NHHI to <br />pay the City any tax deficiency resulting from change in classification rates or market <br />valuation. Since that time, classification rates have droppcd significantly, and NHHI has <br />paid tax deficiencies. Thorndale was built with the expectation that payments would not <br />be more than $26,000 annually.
