The Annual Report was prepared by the Finance Department and
audited by HLB Tautges, Redpath which provided a clean opinion. The Association is the
retirement program for Fire Department members, and is required to perform an actuarial
study every two years to determine pension liability. A study was completed in 1999, and
indicated the assets are sufficient to cover its pension liability. The Association assets are
in the amount of $2,700,000, and the 1999 income was a little under $400,000.

Samuelson noted Egan's presentation at the Council Worksession was very concise.
