<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, February 8, 2000, at <br />7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Old Highway 8 NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, Councilmembers Gunderman, Hoffman, Moore-Sykes, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br />Steve Rymer, Family Service Center Manager <br />Cary Teague, City Planner <br /> <br />Council Aaenda <br /> <br />Gunderman requested a Special Order of Business relating to a proposal by Duane Carlson. <br /> <br />Motion by Moore-Sykes, seconded by Hoffman, to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE JANUARY 25, 2000, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Larson, with Council consent, received the minutes ofthe Economic Development <br />Commission - December 14, 1999; and Public Safety Commission- December 29, 1999. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Duane Carlson thanked the efforts of the Police Department for monitoring the speed levels <br />along 3rd St. NW, and suggested the City purchase a motorcycle for speed monitoring. <br /> <br />Consent Aaenda <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Gunderman, to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />CONSOLIDATED VOUCHERS: 087295-087467 FOR A GRAND TOTAL <br />OF $209,735.50. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF THE QUOTATION FROM <br />BERGERSON CASWELL FOR THE MAINTENANCE WORK ON WELL <br />PUMP 11 AND TO AUTHORIZE THE EXPENDITURE OF UP TO $25,000 <br />FOR THE MAINTENANCE WORK. <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Speed Monitoring <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Vouchers <br />Report 00-033 <br /> <br />Quotes for repairs on <br />Well #11 <br />Report 00-034 <br />
