A meeting of the 24 residents who comprise this special taxing <br />district was held November 3, 1999, to discuss the ongoing lake restoration project. The <br />nine residents in attendance approved a request for a $400 tax levy for 2000 to increase <br />the fund reserve to $4,531.90. Proposed 2000 improvements include replacement of <br />compressor hoses and diffusers, and normal miscellaneous expenses and electric power. <br />In accordance with the policy, the City would pickup 25% ofthe $400 or $100 from a <br />general tax levy. The remaining 75% or $300 would be levied against the taxing district. <br /> <br />Samuelson confirmed the$300 would be divided amongst the 24 properties. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE A GENERAL TAX LEVY <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $100.00 AND SPECIAL TAX LEVY AGAINST THE LAKE <br />DIANE SPECIAL TAXING DISTRICT IN THE AMOUNT OF $300.00 FOR 2000. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Fulton presented the 1999-2001 Labor Agreement with Teamsters Local 320 for Public <br />Works and Parks employees. The settlement provisions are as follows: three year contract <br />from January 1, 1999 to December 31,2001; 3% wage increase effective January 1, 1999 <br />plus Stanton adjustment of 12t/hour for maintenance workers and 34t/hour for <br />mechanics; 3% wage increase effective January 1,2000 with supplemental heavy <br />equipment operator adjustment of I %; eliminate heavy equipment operator effective <br />January 1,2000; 3% wage increase effective January 1,2001; maintain current health <br />insurance coverage and contribution levels for 1999; language change for accrued <br />vacation and compensation time. provide language for allowing a reopener on 2000 and <br />200 I health insurance coverages.
