Benke acknowledged the <br />County's response is a valid concern. <br /> <br />Larson asked if the school district and County would participate in the financing needed <br />during the TIF process. Locke said the City has a good working relationship with the <br />school district and County, but clearly the City has the primary role for redevelopment. <br />Benke said the creation of TIF districts eventually provide benefit to the entire <br />community through job creation and tax revenue. Staff will provide a revenue strategy <br />report to the County on existing TIF Districts. <br /> <br />There were no comments from the audience <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson to CLOSE THE PUBLIC HEARING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried, <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT <br />THE RESOLUTION MODIFYING THE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM FOR <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO.1, MODIFYING THE TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLANS FOR TAX INCREMENT DISTRICT NO.1 THROUGH 20, <br />23 AND DISTRICTS NO. 25 THROUGH NO. 28 TO REFLECT INCREASED <br />PROJECT COSTS WITHIN DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT NO.1 AND <br />CREATING PROPOSED TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT NO. 29 <br />AND APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE PROPOSED TAX INCREMENT <br />FINANCING PLAN. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />City Engineer Les Proper presented installation of a new street light at the intersection of <br />16th Ter. and 23rd Ave. NW, and lease takeover of the 16th Ter. cul-de-sac street light. <br />Sixteen Ter. is a new street serving the new Stony Lake residential subdivision, A <br />petition supporting the street light was signed by two of the four property owners who <br />abut the area, Also, it is City policy to install street lights at all intersections. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Hoffman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ORDERING INSTALLATION OF NEW STREET <br />LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF 16TH TER. AND 23RD AVE. NW AND <br />CITY TAKEOVER OF LEASE FOR EXISTING STREET LIGHT AT THE END <br />OF THE 16TH TER.
