Rd. E intersection did not <br />receive notification. Teague believes this property is zoned 1-3. <br /> <br />Economic Development Specialist Jill Bishop presented authorization for Damon Faber <br />Associates to complete the landscape design for 5th Ave. in Brighton Corporate Park III. <br />Construction will begin this fall with installation of sidewalks, sod, light standards, <br />intersection treatments, and burial of the NSP cable. Next Spring, the Parks Department <br />will perform the plantings which provides for a cost savings to the City. <br /> <br />Paul Kangus, consultant, briefly explained the scope and design of the project. <br />Samuelson asked if the lighting will be similar to that near City Hall. Kangus explained <br />this is an area of primarily industrial properties which require less lighting than near <br />City Hall. Samuelson encouraged staff to continue to research cost saving opportunities. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Hoffman, to AUTHORIZE DAMON FARBER <br />ASSOCIATES TO COMPLETE THE LANDSCAPE DESIGN CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS FOR THE 5TH AVE. NW STREETSCAPE ALONG BRIGHTON <br />CORPORATE PARK III. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Arntz noted New Brighton has recently been a victim of a number of graffiti incidents <br />involving City property. If anyone has any information, please contact the Police. <br /> <br />Legislative issues will be discussed on April 14 at the Mounds View City Hall. <br /> <br />Stockyard Days parade will be August 19, and the Antique Car Run will be August 21. <br /> <br />Results from the neighborhood meetings will be presented April 22 at Christ the King. <br /> <br />Staff and Council met with representatives from Lunds Grocery. In conclusion, it <br />appears Lunds has made a business decision to leave its New Brighton location. Kraus <br />Anderson is actively pursuing tenants to lease the Lunds and Ace Hardware space. <br /> <br />A Comprehensive Planning meeting with the business community will be May 4. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Meeting was adjourned at 9: 17 p.m. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br />Margaret A.
