In order for Council to <br />reconsider this project, a motion is required. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson, to RECONSIDER THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE KARl LANE/LONG LAKE ROAD RELIEF STORM <br />SEWER PROJECT 97-13. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Proper and Fulton concluded that the properties necessary to ensure the project is dealt <br />with comprehensively have now executed the covenants or indicated they will shortly. <br />Staff is confident the project can be completed this fall. The contractor, Thomas and <br />Sons, is willing to stand by their original bid of $264,218.30. The five properties <br />executing the protective covenants include: 1394 Kari Lane, 1354 Kari Lane, 1314 Kari <br />Lane, 1393 16th Ave. NW, and 1365 16th Ave. NW. <br /> <br />Fulton noted that Ramsey County has approved their cost share of the project. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to APPROVE THE KARl LANE/LONG <br />LAKE ROAD RELIEF STORM SEWER, PROJECT 97-13, AND AUTHORIZE <br />EXECUTION OF A CONTRACT WITH THOMAS AND SONS CONSTRUCTION <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF THE COMPETITIVE BID RECEIVED JULY 20, 1998, IN <br />THE AMOUNT OF $264,218.30, SUBJECT TO THE RECEIPT OF EXECUTED <br />PROTECTIVE COVENANTS FROM THE FIVE PROPERTIES INDICA TED. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Staff will meet with MPCA to determine final commitments and clarification of <br />expectations relating to the MacGiIlis & Gibbs remediation project. <br /> <br />Gunderma~annuu.nced the birth of his new granddaughter, Brooke. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br /> <br />~ <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Meeting was adjourned at 8:29 p.m. <br /> <br />~~u <br />~ ~- <br />Robert J.
