What has prompted your interest in this appointment and were there reasons why you didn't file for
election during the last local election process? What are your current thoughts regarding your interest in
running for election in two years?

Hoffman considered running for election last fall, but her involvement with the Model Cities Health Center
entailed major time commitments. Currently, she has managed that time more differently so the commitment is not
as great which allows her to be available. She is committed to run for election in 1999.

Flahave did not consider running this fall because he was very satisfied with the candidates. However, with the
recent change of events, he expressed interest in carrying on the vision. He said it is amazing how well of a team
player a person can become when surrounded by qualified members. His supervisors are in full support of the
time commitment this position entails, and intents to run for election in 1999,

2.
