<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />April 14, 1998 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />The Earth Day Celebration will be April 22 at the former MacGillis & Gibbs site or now <br />known as BCPIII, The event celebrates the partnership of the City, EPA, and MPCA <br />involved in the site cleanup, and the ground breaking ceremony for Donatelle, <br /> <br />A ground breaking for the Salem Baptist Church addition will be held May 3, <br /> <br />Ramsey County will hold a GIS System exposition on April 21. <br /> <br />Benke announced that eleven applications were received for the vacant Councilmember <br />position. Council will meet April 21, 5:00 p,m, to review the applications, develop a <br />finalist list, and select four individuals to interview. Interviews will be held April 23, <br />7:00 p.m" and will be televised. <br /> <br />Applications were received from: Ann Hoffman (1943 15th Ave NW); Dennis Flahave <br />(195 23rd Ave NW); Walt Witzke (771 Emerald Ct); James Wagner (2311 Brittany Ct); <br />Rita Dakin (22nd Ave NW); Marritta Gould (1474 - 15th St. NW); Scott Morgan <br />(1031 6th St. SW); Anthony Poeschel (26 19th Ave. SW); Mark Waite (2280 Erin Ct); <br />Thomas Kibler (1694 Valerie Ln,); and Jack Elmquist (1312 16th Ave. NW), <br /> <br />Council suggested residents give any written or verbal input regarding the applicants to <br />the Council. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Meeting ~as~adjournedat 8:11 p.m. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~. ~ <br />Margaret A.
