Previously, Council continued the decision to receive input at the Town Hall Meeting, The topic was highlighted at Town Hall, and only one other name was suggested, "Olde Eight Road," The New Briihton Bulletin published an article explaining the name and numbering process. As a result of public input, it was preferred that the entire corridor go under the "Old Hwy 8" name with NW/SW directional radiating from Co. Rd, E, The change could be timed with the telephone area code change taking effect in July, The Post Office will allow 12 months for transition to the new addresses. Affected property owners, Ramsey County, Police, Fire, other emergency services, and the Post Office would be notified so changes are made efficiently. An ordinance adoption is required, Larson spoke to the resident who suggested "Olde Eight Road" and to business owners along Old Hwy 8, Most businesses felt the "Old Hwy 8" name should be used.
