The Economic Development Commission (EDC) conducted <br />interviews with developers to incorporate the Hwy 8 Corridor Vision into redevelopment <br />of the MacGillis site, The pattern would echo recently redeveloped areas along Hwy 8, <br />The EDC recommended the Ordway/Pratt proposal subject to their willingness to <br />consider further enhancements. Ordway's previous commitments and major investments <br />in the community made the EDC comfortable with its decision, The project includes a <br />service center and residential area of higher density, upscale owner-occupied units. <br />Next steps include neighborhood meetings, market and traffic studies, and refinements. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Gregori, to DESIGNATE STONY LAKE <br />PROPERTIES AND PRATT HOMES AS REDEVELOPERS OF THE NORTH <br />BRIGHTON CORPORATE PARK III REDEVELOPMENT SITE AND DIRECT <br />STAFF TO WORK WITH THE REDEVELOPERS ON THE PREPARATION OF <br />THE FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLANS AND REDEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried, <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Gregori announced that St. John's School was recently recognized at the Legislature for <br />its fundraising activities which provided for renovation of an orphanage in Poland, <br /> <br />Larson and Gunderman thanked Benke for his excellent State of the City Address. <br /> <br />Park and Recreation employee Paul Biedler is leaving the City after 18 years of service, <br /> <br />An informational meeting for the Rice Creek Rd. Sidewalk Reconstruction will be <br />January 28.
