The altered plan removes two units from the first tier and one unit from
the second tier. The City Forester gave a favorable review of the landscape plan which
places a mixture of trees and compliments existing oaks trees.

Samuelson prefers this plan and feels the oak trees will add style to the project. She
asked if the decks will back up to adjacent properties or open spaces. Mattila said the
decks would be located up to 15 ft. from the west and south property lines, and existing
trees will help shield adjacent properties.

Benke said two existing driveways on Hwy 8 will be eliminated. Mattila said it is
preferred the development's direct access be onto Hwy 8. Applicant, Jake Cadwallader,
believes the County will ultimately determine the access. Williams questioned the
correctness of traveling past 15 garages before exiting the development. Samuelson
feels that directing too much traffic immediately onto Hwy 8 may create problems.

Pete Varhol, 1080 - 2nd St., believes the project will increase traffic on 3rd St., and
presently neighborhood streets are used to avoid traffic delays on Hwy 8.

Karen V ogl, 309 - 11th Ave., feels the project will increase traffic on 3rd Terr.

Consent A~enda

Vouchers
Report 97-083

Town Hall Meeting
Report 97-084

Project 97-1 Plans and
Specs
Report 97-085

Purchase of Squad Car
Report 97-086

Nail Makers License
Report 97-087

Bid Award for Well
15
Report 97-088

Council Business

Silver Oak Townhome
Development
Report 97-088
