Council deferred
action pending Police Chief Kelley's research into the existence of an office for this
individual. The cause of deferral was due to previous requests by this firm which later
appeared that offices were never established and residents were being met at their front
door. Kelley met with Jacobson at his office, 201 Silver Lk. Rd. Suite B, and discussed
Council's expectations.

Joe Johnston, Edward D. Jones, is officed in Albert Lea and has regional responsibility
for 45 offices throughout Minnesota. They can attribute previous applicant activity to
one returning to college and another relocating to Forest Lake. Their business
development strategy of a new office requires a representative to make face to face
contacts and become acquainted with residents and businesses, but not sell goods.

Consent Agenda

Bel Air PT A
Gambling License
Report 97-055

LICIT Insurances
Report 97-056

DataForce Support
Report 97-057

Comm.
