Benke confirmed that Tract B would maintain that strip of <br />land, and noted concern of this arrangement. This is a questionable solution, and he <br />prefers a deferral being that the principle individuals are not present. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to CONTINUE THE PUBLIC HEARING <br />FOR PL-230 TO OCTOBER 22, 1996, COUNCIL MEETING; AND REQUEST <br />THE INQUIRY REGARDING FIREWALL STANDARDS BE ADDRESSED. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Williams cannot support the proposal's establishment of the land strip because of <br />possible maintenance issues. <br /> <br />Public Hearin~ - Proiect 94-7. Bri~hton Green Utilities - 8:35-8:40 p.m. <br /> <br />City Engineer Les Proper presented Project 94-7 which involved installation of sanitary <br />sewer, storm sewer, and watermain utilities to serve the Rottlund townhomes at the <br />southwest corner of 5th Ave. and 10th St. NW. The project will be paid from a <br />combination of special assessments, stormwater utility fund, sanitary sewer utility fund, <br />and water utility fund. Improvements to the City's watermain, sanitary sewer, and <br />storm sewer will be paid from the City utility funds. <br /> <br />Properties to be special assessed are Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8, 9, 10, Block 1, Brighton <br />Green Plat. Lot 7 is owned by New Brighton Care Center and did not receive benefit <br />and will not be assessed. The total assessment is $232,590.93, and each of the 70 <br />townhomes will be assessed $3,322.73. Improvements to the water system total <br />$20,805.76, and will be paid from the Water Utility Fund. Sanitary sewer improvements <br />total $18,364.65, and will be paid from the sanitary sewer utility fund.
