ROW Issues <br /> <br />Ramsey County will communicate the merit of their involvement in the proposed shared Ice Sheet Proposal <br />ice hockey facility. <br /> <br />The Northwest Youth and Family Services fundraiser will be September 12. NWYFS <br /> <br />Benke urged everyone to get out and vote at the primary election on September 10. Vote <br /> <br />The Public Policy Commission is working to encourage the involvement of Irondale Election Involvement <br />students in the upcoming election process. <br /> <br />Benke has been notified by several residents regarding very negative telemarketing Negative Campaigning <br />methods being used as a way to advocate specific candidates. He encouraged residents <br />to be aware of these tactics, and to contact campaign headquarters to voice concerns. <br />He is very disheartened at how the campaigning process has deteriorated. <br /> <br />Benke said there have been misconceptions circulating regarding the recent short term <br />moratorium placed on Highway 8. In the interest of long term planning, it has been <br />decided the moratorium was needed in order to determine correct land usage and best <br />scenarios for redevelopment. A request for proposals has been mailed to interested <br />consultants, and a task force has been formed which will work closely with the chosen <br />consultant. One of the first priorities of the task force will be to focus on three parcels <br />which require immediate attention.
