The repair shop is classified as a hazardous area under section 4-2 . <br />(LSC) and must be separated from the rest of the building and the <br />exiting system per sections 25-3.3.2.1, 25-3.2.2 and 25-3.2.3 and 7- <br />7.1.2 (LSC). These corrections must be started by May 28 and <br />completed by July 31, 1987. <br /> <br />9. Housekeeping in general is poor, particularly in the area around the <br />exterior of the building. This creates a fire hazard and must be <br />maintained at all times per section 11.201 through 11.207 of the <br />Minnesota Uniform Fire Code, 1982 edition. Remove all debris and <br />trailers within 20 feet of exterior walls. These corrections must <br />be started by May 28 and completed by July 31, 1987. <br /> <br />10. Replace all NM wiring that: <br /> <br />1. Has cracked insulation. <br />2. Conductors do not terminate in junction boxes. <br />3. Conductors do not follow the structural members of building < <br />(contours of building). <br />4. Restrapping of conductors where strapping is missing or <br />improperly spaced. <br /> <br />It is the recommendation of the Electrical Inspector that the best way to ge~ <br />compliance would be for the owner to engage an electrical contractor and the i <br />two of them would meet with the Electrical Inspector to go over the entire <br />building together. These code violations are covered under the 1982 National <br />Electrical Code Articles 336 and 305. <br /> <br />Replace all fuses with type S non-tamperable fuses. To correct this wiring in this area <br />they would have to <br /> <br />1. Remove small engine repair area to a new location, or <br /> <br />2. Install a proper ventilation system within 18 inches of floor and <br />interlock it with the room lighting and wiring. The vent fans would <br />have to be on before room lighting would come on, or <br /> <br />3.
