Ramsey County is asking input on common lighting and signage, and
entrance fountains. Because New Brighton's road portion is only 300 ft., our lighting
cost would be $5,000. There has been no commitment on sign design, but it is felt it
should be common throughout. Entrance fountains at the New Brighton and White Bear
Lake road endings have been discussed; and Gulden indicated to the task force that New
Brighton would consider this if costs were prorated. Samuelson asked if a sign design
has been determined. Guldan said a design has not been determined, and input is sought
as to whether there is interest in common lighting and signage.

Benke asked if the task force will present a prototype at the November 14 Council
meeting. Guldan said there is no prototype. Benke noted the southerly entrance sign at
Co. Rd. D, and suggested both signs should compliment each other.

Council A2"enda

Council Minutes

Commission Minutes

$,pedal Order of
Business

Highway 96 Task
Force
