<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />October 10, 1995 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />Fulton said staff had the opportunity to make a presentation to the senior advisory <br />group regarding the relocation of the Congregate Dining program from Shoreview to <br />the FSC. He noted that many seniors live in New Brighton and Mounds View and he <br />feels the program should be located closer to those individuals. <br /> <br />The cities of New Brighton and Mounds View are working toward a joint power fire <br />protection agreement for Dynex. Dynex is located in Mounds View, but its closest <br />water source is in New Brighton. Mounds View will be responsible for all the <br />financial costs associated with the project and New Brighton will be compensated for <br />any water costs used in fire protection. <br /> <br />Fulton said staff is reviewing drainage plans for the Samson property at 872 - 8th <br />Ave. Gunderman requests to see the original Council approved plan. <br /> <br />Ramsey County League of Local Governments will meet on October 18. Benke <br />noted that the North Metro Mayors Associations will also meet on October 18. <br /> <br />Dennis Gulden, member of the Highway 96 Turnback Committee, would like to <br />make a presentation to Council at a future meeting.
