<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, April 11, 1995, at <br />7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Larson, and Samuelson. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Gunderman and Williams. <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Matthew Fulton, City Manager <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Bob Rutherford, Engineering Tech. Supervisor <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to APPROVE THE COUNCIL <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MARCH 28, 1995, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Park Board - <br />October 5 and December 7, 1994; and Parks, Recreation, and Natural Environmental <br />Commission - February 1, 1995. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Glen Winchell, Rehabilicare, thanked the City and Council for their support and <br />assistance with their new facility at 1811 Old Hwy 8. They are pleased that since <br />their move, 10 positions have been added. <br /> <br />Council wished Rehabilicare success at their new location. <br /> <br />Larson said Irondale High School has a great tradition for fielding baseball teams that <br />ha;ve won Conference Championships. Three former Irondale students, Bryan Guse, <br />David Lance, and Rob Ramacher are now playing college baseball for the University <br />of Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Purdue Boilermakers, respectively. Because <br />of this, the Irondale Baseball Team and New Brighton Rotary Club are co-sponsoring <br />"Irondale Night" at the Gophers vs. Boilermakers Baseball Game on April 22. <br /> <br />Mayor Benke PROCLAIMED APRIL 22, 1995, AS IRONDALE NIGHT IN THE <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />Benke requested staff contact the school districts to recognize upcoming graduates in <br />athletics, art, music, and academic programs. <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Rehabilicare <br /> <br />Irondale Night <br />Proclamation <br />Report 95-047 <br />
