I I I Council Meeting Minutes December 20, 1994 Page 5 Council Business. continued Fulton explained that due to the agenda for the Council meeting which falls between Christmas and New Years is not very full, it has been customary to move the regularly scheduled meeting from the fourth Tuesday to the third Tuesday. Of course, if an issue arises needing immediate attention before year-end, a meeting will be held. The next Council meeting will be held on January 10. Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to CANCEL THE DECEMBER 27, 1994, REGULARLY SCHEDULED COUNCIL MEETING, WIm THE UNDERSTANDING mAT SHOULD AN ISSUE ARISE NEEDING COUNCIL ACTION PRIOR TO YEAR-END, THE MEETING WILL BE HELD. 4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. Announcements and Ut>dates Fulton noted the City will continue to take applications for positions on the City's advisory boards and commissions. Benke asked if a Council worksession will be held to review the applications at the annual teambuilding session. Fulton will research this possibility. Larson noted the tremendous interest in the Family Service Center. He suggested that breakaway basketball rims be installed and clocks are needed throughout the facility. Fulton will check on these issues. Benke suggested dedicating one wall at the Family Service Center to serve as a "heritage wall" to note New Brighton's historical past. The Sportmen's Club annual fishing contest will be February 5. Adiournment Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Larson, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. 4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.
