<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />September 12, 1994 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Samuelson, to NOMINATE CITY MANAGER <br />MATTHEW FULTON TO REPRESENT THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />TO THE TCAAP REUTILIZATION COMMITTEE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />The City received recognition from the Minnesota Department of Trade and <br />Economic Development as a "All Star" within the Star City Program. This <br />recognition reflects the redevelopment work performed in the Olde Town area. <br /> <br />The League of Minnesota Cities will offer a conference in October which will focus <br />on "Community and Police - Sharing the Vision and Building Minnesota's Future". <br />Benke asked Fulton to contact Police Chief John Kelley in regards to participation. <br /> <br />Larson said T-shirts are being sold to benefit the families of the two St. Paul Police <br />Officers who were recently slain. <br /> <br />Ramsey County's Strategic Planning Committees are still looking for members. <br /> <br />Benke and Kelley attended a meeting sponsored by the Mayors of Minneapolis and <br />St. Paul regarding Crime in the Metropolitan Region. Several task forces were <br />created and there appears to be significant interest in dealing with these issues. <br /> <br />The Northwest Youth and Family Service boatride will be held September 14. <br /> <br />Benke encouraged people to vote in the Primary Election on September 13. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Williams, to ADJOURN THE MEETING. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Meeting was adjourned at 7:54 p.m. <br /> <br />~~ <br />Robert J.
