Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Hearing was closed at 10:12 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Samuelson. to APPROVE TIlE STREET <br />REHABILITATION PROJECTIIP94-3, AND DIRECT SlAFF TO PREPARE <br />FINAL PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />The Construction Manager for the Family Service Center, Earl "Doc" Peterson. <br />presented for consideration the awarding of the bids for construction of the Family <br />Service Center. These bids were reviewed by the Council at a special worksession <br />held prior to the Council Meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Peterson noted that one bid which received from BLS for carpeting will be <br />further reviewed because of BLS's inability to get a performance bond. He notify <br />Council if the bid should be awarded to the next lowest bidder. <br /> <br />Fulton said this is the second phase of the bidding process. and the total amount of <br />the bids being awarded is $3,767,492 which puts the project on line in regards to its <br />budget. Council will be notified of revisions to the bids through a change order. <br /> <br />Motion by Samuelson, seconded by Williams. to AWARD TIlE BIDS RECEIVED <br />FOR TIlE CONSTRUCTION OF THE FAMILY SERVICE CENTER AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY TIlE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Fulton noted that the Moundsview School Board recently awarded the bids for their <br />portion of the Family Service Center. <br /> <br />Fulton presented the Innsbruck Park Development schedule. <br /> <br />In January. Council approved and identified certain priorities relating to the <br />scheduling of park development plans for Innsbruck Park. Council directed staff to <br />review the project's components and costs and present these to Council. <br /> <br />The City's 1994-1998 capital budget provides $110.000 of park improvement funds <br />for Innsbruck Park. The addition of a tennis court, rock material around the pond <br />and a pond fountain which total $52,000 were previously discussed. However. at <br />this time. there has been no provision made for funding these components. Initial <br />emphasis will be placed on grass and landscaping for the park.
