<br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />March 8, 1994 <br /> <br />Page 6 <br /> <br />Council Business. continued <br /> <br />City Financial Consultant Jim Casserly said this project is consistent with traditional <br />City redevelopment activities. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to DIRECT stAFF TO PREPARE A <br />DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br />MEDICAL DEVICES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Williams explained that Mr. Helgeson and Ms. Kalina are no longer active members <br />on the Park Board and because of this, Council will need to make replacement <br />appointments. Two individuals have indicated their interest in serving on the Park <br />Board: Christopher Sykes and Don Heinrich. <br /> <br />Benke recommended that the appointments be made for the remainder of 1994, <br />because of the possible restructuring of the boards and commissions. Williams feels <br />that the Park Board would agree with Benke's recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Samuelson, to APPOINT DON HEINRICH <br />AND CHRIStOPHER SYKES TO THE PARK BOARD FOR THE <br />REMAINDER OF 1994. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and UDdates <br /> <br />Fulton said a Council worksession to review the fmdings from the boards and <br />commissions restructuring assessment will be held April 12. <br /> <br />Staff will meet on March 9 with an interested developer who is proposing a project <br />for the Rice Creek Shopping Center. Fulton will provide an update for the Council. <br /> <br />The Town Hall Meeting will be held on March 19 at the Tri-City Legion. <br /> <br />Gunderman suggested two possible programming projects for the Cable <br />Commission; cablecasting of area church services and production of a videotape <br />featuring area businesses. <br /> <br />Larson noted that the Northwest Youth and Family Services will move their <br />headquarters to the present League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) building on <br />Lexington Avenue. Their relocation should be finalized by the end of 1995. Also, <br />a NWYFS satellite office will be located in the Family Service Center. NHHI Plans <br /> <br />Benke received a call from a group of residents requesting a forum before the Rice Creek Trail <br />Council regarding the Ramsey County Rice Creek Trail Project. He feels that <br />Council should provide those residents with the opportunity to air their concerns. <br />He suggested those comments be received at the March 22 Council meeting. <br /> <br />I <br />
