The project will
restore a 1/4 acre open water area in the wetland to a maximum depth of 3 feet.
The area to be cleanout is located near the inflow/outflow storm sewer. The
cleaning would increase the water storage ability of the wetland and provide for
aesthetics. Approximately, 700 cubic yards of sediment and soil will be cleaned out
of the pond and hauled off the site

I

A quotation was received for C. W. Houle in the amount of $9.50 per cubic yard.
Based on the removal of 700 cubic yards plus permit fees and sod, the total project
cost would be $7,500. This is a good price for this type of work and Houle
Construction is a good reputable contractor.

Williams asked if any Army Corps of Engineers or DNR permits are required.
Proper said the DNR does not require a permit and the Army Corps of Engineers
permit has been received. The Rice Creek Watershed is expected to be approve the
project.

Consent Agenda

Transfer of Revenues
for Project 91-31
Report 94..,046
Resolution 94-022

Fire Pickup Truck
Report 94-047

St. John No Parking
Zone
Report 94-049

Hipp Property
Purchase Agreement
Report 94-050
Resolution 94-023

Council Business

Knollwood Pond
Maintenance Cleaning
Project
Report 94-051
