CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE PERMIT FEES FOR <br />STOCKYARDS DAYS 1993 PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION 85-42. <br /> <br />5. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO AUTHORIZE ISSUANCE OF A <br />THREE DAY TEMPORARY ON-SALE LIQUOR LICENSE TO THE NEW <br />BRIGHTON EAGLES FOR AUGUST 27, 28, AND 29, 1993. <br /> <br />6. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RE-MARKETING AND <br />RELATED ACTIONS REGARDING THE ISSUER'S COMMERCIAL <br />DEVELOPMENT BONDS SERIES A. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Public Hearina - None <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Acting City Manager Barbara Jeanetta presented the Family Center Planning <br />Funds. <br /> <br />The floor plans and elevations for the family center are completed and the <br />next phase includes detailed cost estimates and engineering work to <br />provide Council with information needed for a final decision on the center. <br /> <br />Northwest Youth and Family Services have committed to 1,000 sq. ft. of <br />office space, and the School Board will review outlines at their August 24 <br />Board Meeting. The Senior Center Task Force has identified the Rice Creek <br />Center as the only New Brighton site. The task force will consider one site <br />in each of the other four cities at their August 25 meeting. <br /> <br />Benke asked if the prognosis for lower interest rates of construction loans <br />appears favorable in the upcoming months. Jim Casserly, City Financial <br />Consultant, feels this is an excellent time for financing of a project such as <br />the Family Service Center. <br /> <br />Williams requested staff to provide additional information to the Mounds <br />View School Board before their September 14 Board meeting.
