Also, there has been <br />thought in regards to developing an indoor play area for preschool children. <br /> <br />Council interviewed Williams/O'Brien Architects and BWBR Architects for <br />the purpose of developing a preliminary study. The study would involve <br />meeting to discuss space concerns and develop a preliminary schematic <br />design. Both firms are well-qualified and submitted costs estimates. <br /> <br />Williams feels this is an exciting venture and noted that the Senior Center <br />Task Force is currently working with Williams/O'Brien and found the firm to <br />be most accommodating. <br /> <br />Benke noted that each candidate is well respected in their field. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to SELECT WILLIAMS/O'BRIEN <br />ARCHITECTS TO PREPARE A PRELIMINARY STUDY REPORT AT A COST <br />NOT TO EXCEED $7,900 RELATING TO A POSSIBLE JOINT VENTURE <br />WITH RAMSEY COUNTY, IDS 621, NORTHWEST YOUTH AND FAMILY <br />SERVICES, PROJECT HEADSTART AND OTHERS TO DEVELOP A FAMILY <br />SERVICES CENTER IN NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Uodates <br /> <br />The Council and Chamber joint meeting will be April 14. <br /> <br />The Remmelle Engineering ground breaking will be held April 19. <br /> <br />The New Brighton and Mounds View Police Departments will challenge the <br />Irondale Basketball team for a Peer Group Fundraiser on April 16. <br /> <br />The D.A.R.E.
