<br />Page 6 - July 25, 2006 New Brighton Council Minutes <br />Mayor Larson explained that in the prior work session, 2 candidates were favored. <br /> <br />lotion by Council Member Bauman seconded by Council Member Burg to <br />ecommend the adoption of the resolution appointing Bob Jaskowiak for a term <br />expiring 1-31-2009, and Mark Toupal for a term expiring 1-31-2008; to the current <br />vacancies on the Parks, Recreation and Environmental Commission. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nays, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Liaison Reports. Announcements. and Updates <br />Municipal Advisory Commission Reports: <br /> <br />Jeanna Troha-Acting City Manager: <br />Ms. Troha reported Sandy Breuer, Director of Parks and Recreation began <br />employment on July 24th. <br />Additionally National Night Out will be August 1st, involvement was encouraged. <br /> <br />founcil Member Mary Burg - Public Safety Commission <br />ublic Safety is gearing up for National Night Out. <br /> <br />Council Member Sharon Doffing - Planning Commission <br />Expressed her appreciation to the many residents who attended the Planning <br />Commission meeting, and stated her position on reaching an amicable solution to the <br />lakeshore fence issue. <br />Also, she shared some of her thoughts on desired qualifications of City Manager. <br /> <br />Council Member Gina Bauman - Economic Development Commission <br />Council Member Bauman attended Business Council meeting, about 18 people <br />attended. <br /> <br />Mayor Larson <br />Mayor Larson expressed condolences to Council member Annie Hoffman, and <br />husband Dan in the loss of their family member. <br />An agreement was approved authorizing joint cable services with the City of Arden <br />Hills. <br /> <br />IStoCkyard days begin August 7th with a softball game at 6:30, budget session at 4:30. <br />August 9 is Public Safety 60th Anniversary celebration at Family Service Center. <br /> <br />
