To date, no inquiries <br />were received. Also, Council requested inclusion of a residency factor in <br />issuance of a temporary liquor license, this is included in Section 4-133. <br /> <br />Tim Dretsch, 1523 S. Timber Ridge, Fridley, requested an application for 8 <br />off-sale liquor license in New Brighton. <br /> <br />To date, the City has not received any formal license applications. <br /> <br />LeFevere said if the amendment is approved, it will become effective the <br />day after publication. Upon receipt of Mr. Dretsch's application, the Police <br />will perform necessary background investigations. He will report back to <br />Council regarding whether a single party could hold all City liquor licenses, <br />however, there may be a state law which prohibits such ownership. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Gunderman, to WAIVE THE SECOND <br />READING AND ADOPT THE AMENDMENTS AND ORDER PUBLICATION OF <br />THE ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON CODE <br />SECTIONS 4-11. 4.12. 4.105, 4-109 AND 4.113, AND ADD 4-133. ALL <br />RELATING TO REGULATION OF THE SALE OF NON-INTOXICATING AND <br />INTOXICATING LIQUOR IN THE CITY. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and Ucdates <br /> <br />The Ramsey County League of Local Governments will meet on June 1 7. <br /> <br />The North Suburban Cable Commission will answer inquires relating to the <br />cable company ownership transfer.
