The fundraiser involves a rubber duckie race on Rice Creek. The <br />Rotary Club is applying for an exemption from the State lawful gambling <br />license in order to hold the one-day raffle. <br /> <br />Rebelein and Gunderman noted that they are both Rotary Club members <br />and cannot vote on the matter. Childs verified that the staff <br />recommendation does not require a vote. <br /> <br />Announcements and Uodates <br /> <br />The Ramsey County Fire Chiefs Association noted concern regarding the <br />discussions by Ramsey County and St, Paul involving public safety <br />communications. The chiefs' displeasure is that they did not receive <br />opportunity to express input in these discussions. The Fire Chiefs <br />Association and several suburban Police Chiefs are asking their Councils to <br />pass a resolution requesting the opportunity to provide input. Benke <br />requested Williams and Childs to communicate the Council's concerns to <br />the Ramsey County Commissioners, Ramsey County League of Local <br />Governments (RCLLG), and State Representatives and Legislators, <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Exemption for One <br />Day Raffle - Rotary <br />Club <br />Report 92-082 <br /> <br />Announcements & <br />Ucdates <br /> <br />Public Safety <br />Communications <br /> <br />The RCLLG will meet April 15 to discuss Metropolitan Council issues. RCLLG Meeting <br /> <br />The Senior Center Task Force will meet April 22. The Task Force decided <br />to withdraw the Brightwood Golf Course location from the list of potential Senior Center <br />sites.
