<br />I <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />December 10, 1991, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Rebelein and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />John Kelley, Police Chief <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Rebelein noted that Mayor Benke's father-in-law passed <br />away and Council sends their condolences to the Benke family. <br /> <br />Council Aaenda <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to ADD THE SNOW REMOVAL <br />UPDATE AND APPROVE THE AMENDED COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND APPROVE NOVEMBER 26, 1991 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes - None <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Stockyards Days Queen Nicole Whitwam introduced the Royal Court: <br />Princesses Michelle Roy and Kristina Matros, Junior Queen Tami Jo Hall, <br />Junior Commodore Ron Wachter, Junior Princess Nicole Gauthier and <br />Junior Vice Commodore Jim Sorbe!. The Court thanked the City for its <br />support during Stockyards Days. Rebelein commended the Royal Court <br />for their enthusiasm and representation of the City. <br /> <br />Police Chief John Kelley thanked the New Brighton Chamber of Commerce <br />for their $1,800 donation to the City's Drug Abuse Resistance Education <br />Program (DARE).
