CONSOLIDATED VOUCHERS: 105596, 105599-105605, <br />105608-105752. 105755~105769 FOR A GRAND TOTAL OF <br />$364,464.36. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY <br />MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN RAMSEY <br />COUNTY AND NEW BRIGHTON FOR THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Public Hearina - None <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />City Manager David Childs presented revisions to the City Code relating to <br />insurance requirements for liquor licenses. <br /> <br />On August 27, Council directed staff to execute the necessary ordinance <br />changes for implementation of lowered insurance rates to the State's <br />Statutory minimum with no exception for small businesses. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams, to HOLD AND WAIVE THE <br />FIRST READING OF AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY CODE ON <br />LIQUOR LICENSE REQUIREMENTS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Announcements and UDdates <br /> <br />The cable company serving the City signed a contract with Metropolitan <br />Sports Channel for a large number of events, including Twins' games. <br /> <br />The Ramsey County League of Local Governments will meet September <br />11. The annual RCLLG bike tour will be September 14. <br /> <br />Council noted the tremendous efforts by the Ramsey County Cooperative <br />Ventures Group in the assembling of the Optimization Services Study. <br /> <br />The Ramsey County Consolidation Study Commission have began to <br />evaluate possible consolidation in the areas of Police, Health, Library, <br />Public Works, and County and City Prosecution. <br /> <br />The League of Minnesota Cities Annual Policy meeting will be November <br />21.
